With this being our own home base, we have much more flexibility as to what we can offer our guests over and above that which many other accommodation providers can, which we think is a fantastic advantage for our guests who stay at the Lodge.
This is what we believe keeps so many of our guests coming back year after year!

You may already be used to using SkyScanner to find the cheapest flights to Geneva for your short ski breaks. Geneva is a real hub for ski weekends and midweek ski breaks in the Northen Alps, given it is only an hour transfer to many great resorts, ours included.
However, did you know you might be missing a trick when it comes to finding the cheapest flights for your skiing holiday, or any other holiday for that matter?
Sometimes going on a ski holiday or short break can be a bit off-putting for some single or solo skiers. Whether because of the additional cost of single room supplements, or simply being alone when everyone else is in a group having fun, it’s not always the ideal scenario.
Here at Ski Weekender, we don’t think you should have to miss out as a result of either. Whilst we don’t offer specific ‘singles only’ holidays or activities, we do go out of our way to ensure you feel welcome and included to whatever degree you choose. Read more about it here…
It is not always easy to find a vegetarian or vegan-friendly ski chalet or hotel in France is it?
Though we have to admit it is gradually improving.
We are proud to say that back in 2007 our home base – the Aravis Lodge – was first approved by the Vegetarian Society, and it remains the only Vegetarian Society approved ski chalet in France. Vegetarians and vegans looking for a ski holiday or short break will find our spacious, warm and friendly chalet-hotel the ideal set up. Read more about it here…
Ever since we started running ski holidays and long weekends in 2002, we have included your lift pass for the full ski area in the package as standard. Read more about it here…
That’s in addition to your airport transfers and delicious catering in your accommodation being included too!
Short ski breaks seem to become more popular every year, for good reason we think.
After joining us for a ski weekend or midweek skiing holiday, many are completely won over to the benefits of a 3 or 4 day ski trip and will return year after year. Here’s why we believe that is…
On a short skiing holiday, such as a ski weekend or a midweek ski short break, choosing a resort that’s close to Geneva Airport is essential if you want to maximise your time on the slopes.
Geneva Airport is one of the major travel hubs for skiing in France, as there are many popular and famous ski resorts within a reasonable distance.
A short transfer can make all the difference to your enjoyment of the holiday, allowing you make the most of your time by arriving in resort fresh and ready to ski, rather than sitting in a mini bus for up to 3 hours – especially as mountain roads can be pretty windy and lumpy!
