Creche and Childcare Options

Our Aravis Lodge in La Clusaz / Grand Bornand is well designed to cater for children. We recommend use of the crèche in Grand Bornand with whom we have a good relationship. The crèche offers half day and full day package options and is located very close to the piste. We can drop you and your child in the morning and take you to meet them at the end of the day.

The crèche caters for children aged 3 months to 4 years old and offers facilities such as games rooms, a ball pit, trampolines and a snow garden where your child can have an introduction to skiing if you wish. They also provide lunch and a walk in the afternoon.

Grand Bornand is a very popular ski holiday resort with local families, meaning places in the creche can be limited, so let us know your nursery requirements as early as possible, especially if you are staying with us during the busier holiday weeks.

Prices

Morning – 9am – 12pm (without lunch): 17,70e
Afternoon – 1.30pm – 5.30pm (without lunch): 22,50e
Full day – 9am – 5.30pm (including lunch): 36,50e
3 consecutive full days, booked in advance (including lunch) 100e 

These prices have been updated for the 2011 / 2012 season. Please note that spaces in the crèche are limited, so please contact us with your requirements as early as possible so that we can arrange spaces for you, particularly if booking over Christmas / New Year / Half Term periods.

Learn to Ski

The crèche provides a small ski garden with a travelater and fun obstacles where your child can learn the basics of skiing with a dedicated ESF instructor for an hour within the crèche day. (cost: 13.50e for 1 hour’s instructionin addition to basic crèche prices)

Ski Weekender Kid’s Club

We are offering Children’s group Learn-to-Ski Lessons for the Half Term and End of Term School Holidays. These lessons are exclusively for our guests and are with our own dedicated English-speaking ski instructor.

Children will be grouped into small groups with others of the same ability. Lessons are for 2 hours and aim to deliver a range of basic techniques to form a good foundation for future skiing holidays.

We also provide a kid’s tea earlier than the adult’s dinner and evening entertainments such as sledging and igloo building to keep the children entertained. During half term we also have fireworks midweek to celebrate the holidays!

We do not currently have creche and childcare facilities available in Samoens, but please contact us to discuss suitable arrangements.
