Ski weekends and ski holidays for singles? Our packages are ideal.

Although we do not run specific ‘singles only’ ski holidays, our ski packages are certainly single friendly. There are always a number of individuals staying with us here for a weekend or midweek break looking to ski or snowboard, relax and have a good time in great company.  It’s quite common for guests to leave us having made friends for life and return together for future ski holidays!

Here are some reasons why our Aravis Lodge is a great choice for a singles ski weekend, midweek break or longer holiday.

Sociable 40 person chalet hotel

All the comforts of a hotel, all the social benefits of a chalet, but with more people to meet! More about all that in the points below.

No single supplements

At the Aravis Lodge in La Clusaz we have a limited number of rooms available with no single supplement! These are 2 person rooms with twin beds; if there’s a match with another single guest of the same sex then this room may be shared – but there’s a chance you’ll get a room all to yourself. For guests requiring guaranteed single occupancy rooms the supplement is 50% of basic package price.

Ski hosting

We run hosted skiing in both La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand on 3 of the 4 days over the weekend and 2 of the 3 days on midweek breaks. We often split into two groups, so this is a great way for singles to ski with fellow guests of similar ski interests and abilities, whilst discovering the best runs and coffee stops.

Onsite bar and games room

Our spacious onsite bar is a great place to relax after a day on the slopes and meet fellow guests over a few pre- or post-dinner drinks. There are plenty of games available to break the ice, including table football, giant jenga, mini table tennis, board games and cards.

Sociable dining

At 8pm we all sit down together to eat a delicious 3 course meal, with wine included, in our spacious dining room. Meals can go on for hours as the conversation and wine starts to flow.  Singles, couples and groups all mix together to create a fantastic jovial atmosphere.

Friendly welcoming ski team

Guest comments consistently pick out the welcoming and friendly nature of our ski team. There will always be someone to chat to, be it in the bar, lounge, fitting skis or on the slopes.

These are just a few of the many reasons why we are great for singles ski holidays. We haven’t even mentioned the large comfy lounge full of sofas, the separate TV room with Sky and DVD and the fact that lift passes and airport transfers are included. And the skiing in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand is pretty great too!
