Easter 2012 Ski Holidays

The 2012 ski season works perfectly for Easter skiing. Easter Weekend is the 5th – 9th April 2012, allowing you 4 full days of skiing and no time off work thanks to the bank holiday!

The resorts generally keep their snow well late in the season due to predominance of north and west facing aspects, and large amount of skiing above 1600m, particularly in Samoens, Flaine and the Grand Massif.

The Easter Skiing Experience

The Easter Holidays are a great time to go skiing as the weather is warmer and the evenings lighter (so ski lifts are open later) yet there can still be lots of good conditions and fresh powder to be had.

During the Easter holiday weekend in April 2010 there was lots of fresh snow, which gave us some fantastic end of season conditions on the north facing slopes, with the bonus of blue sunny skies helping us top up the tan! Easter 2011 was very late in April and the ski resorts were already closed.
