Chalet Description

Chalet Aravis, sleeping 8 people, is used as an annexe to the Aravis Lodge. Refurbished in 2006 in a Savoyarde style, all the 1st floor rooms are woodclad and offer views of the surrounding mountains.

The chalet contains 4 x 2 person (twin or double), non-ensuite rooms. There are 2 separate shower rooms, meaning that each 2 bedrooms share one set of washing facilities. One shower room contains a wc and is situated at the far end of the landing, the other has a separate wc next to it and it situated at the opposite end of the landing. This arrangement makes the bedrooms ideal for 2 families of 4, or a larger group of 8. We do also use the annexe for separate couples or individuals; dressing gowns are provided in all rooms for modesty. The chalet rooms are cheaper than those in the Aravis Lodge to reflect their non-ensuite nature. Please see our price and availability pages for full details.

Chalet Aravis is immediately next door to the Aravis Lodge on the same private site, just a few seconds walk away, and has its own code-locked front door. Guests staying in the Chalet sleep and wash there; all meals are taken in the Aravis Lodge, and all of the Lodge’s facilities and social space (bar, lounges, gym, sauna) are freely available to Chalet guests. Staying in a separate building to the dining room may not be ideal for families with smaller children who would like to leave them in bed whilst they are eating dinner. Older children and teenagers should be fine as they can remain in the Lodge with the parents whilst they are eating.

All the rooms are lockable and the front door is also code-locked.

Chalet Aravis has a separate ski locker room on the ground floor, allowing you to keep your skis and boots there, making for an easy exit in the morning, rather than having to make your way to the main Lodge bootroom every day.

The snow on the peaks is still a very good depth and the quality is excellent for the time of year too, particularly in the mornings. The resorts are still 90% open on the last day of March, so if you can capitalise on a bit of extra holiday after Easter than now’s your chance to pick up a bargain ski break!
