We work hard to ensure that all our guests have a great time and are well looked after. With so many guests coming back year after year (and quite a few joining us for several trips in a season) we feel that we must be doing something right. Below are a few of the emails we have received after people have enjoyed the Ski Weekender experience.
Winter 2009/2010
Hi everyone, Thanks again, for a truly wonderful time. Missing being there, and the skiing. Everyone, and everything, has been brilliant. The only downside, acutely, has been the return back to bedlam, here! However, I look forward to returning, for another fix of near heaven! (Phil - Jan 10)
Hi Paul and Jess, Back into the swing of things in the UK. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to you both and your team. The girls and I had a fantastic time. Hi Tom, I just wanted to let you know that my wife and I had a really awesome time with you guys this weekend. The lodge was really cool with everything you could need and really tasty food. Can you pass on our thanks to Mike for hosting us on the slopes for 3 days, he is a real gent and extremely professional, a really friendly guy and great fun to board with! In fact all your staff were amazing, making us feel extremely welcome and looking after us for the 4 days. We will definitely come back and recommend Karibuni to our friends. (Jamie - Feb 10)
I just wanted to say a huge thank you (again) from all of the Briggs party of 11. The team work so hard and we really appreciate all the effort you put in, especially with the bus trips to the slopes and children's entertainment. We have thoroughly unwound and had a fantastic time. Food also fab and the recommendation of the pizza take out was also great on the Wednesday evening for the kids. Thanks to all of you. Just to let you know how very much we enjoyed our trip. I was a bit rusty on the ski-ing front but with Ro, benefited enormously from having lessosn with Fabien who was great. We were very impressed with the service provided by Karibuni. We are an independent pair, usually, and it is many years since we have used a travel company. You may not have heard - but through Jan, Paul made a new discovery - where to buy replacement contact lenses! Yes, disaster and the end of a twenty year relationship was very much on the cards, but Paul saved the day! And the days ski-ing was not lost. Although you are able to put a very reasonable price on your ski breaks, what is always difficult to factor in is the value of good, consistent service. We found nothing was too much trouble and the staff made sure that we were very well looked after. You will be highly recommended by us to our friends and colleagues - and don't even TRY to change your format, it works on every front! ~(Jan and Dave - March 10)
Dear Karibuni Team, We wanted to write and thank you for a very enjoyable holiday with you last week. Your facilities and services were excellent, and all your staff were exemplary in every way. The whole package is very well thought-out and delivered, and little touches such as the staff's always-helpful and friendly attitude set you above most other holiday companies. We'd particularly like to thank Jess for re-arranging our room on arrival, Jon for two days of great fun with his ski hosting and guidance on the best area to ski on the third day, and Ian for taking us safely to and from the airport. All the staff we dealt with were great, although I'm afraid I don't remember all their names! We'll definitely be booking with you next year, and look forward to seeing you all again then. The overall experience from the pistes to the organisation of this company, Karibuni made me feel welcome as a customer and they definitely are passionate about the ski/snowboard business- a breath of fresh air! (Marcus - Jan & Feb 09)
Hi Paul, Jess, James, Tom and all the crew, Just dropping you a line to say thanks for all your efforts in making my first ski trip such a fantastic holiday! Everything was well organised, the food was excellent and the whole place had a really warm and welcoming feel to it. But the thing that made all the difference was the friendliness and effort you all put in which made my stay really memorable and will certainly ensure I come back! Extra thanks go to you for helping me out after my flight cancellation, its a measure of a good business when they help you out when things don,t go quite to plan and look after you when you really need it. I was travelling on my own but felt as though I was amongst friends from day one, you're a really nice bunch of people! :) Anyway must get ready for work now and start saving for the next trip (Dave - Feb 09)
To Paul, Jess and the team, I just wanted to say a big thank you for a wonderful New Years break. We had a really fantastic time thanks to the great atmosphere, food, and your incredibly friendly and helpful team. Thanks to you despite being at opposite ends of the ability spectrum, we were both able to really enjoy the skiing. We wanted to say a really big THANK YOU. Our first experience of a ski-ing holiday was made by the way that the staff looked after us this last few days, right from James who slowed down in the minibus when I explained I was a nervous passenger, to Charles who was very patient fitting and re-fitting boots! All the team were friendly, calm and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble, even though it was obvious that everyone was working really hard. Thank you to George and Niamh for my extreme snow shoe walk! The food was superb at all times and it made such a difference at the end of the day when we were tired to know that all we had to do was shower, change and get ourselves downstairs (as we were too stiff to manage anything more than that!) Your set up is ideal for complete beginners like us and we all came away having achieved something up on the slopes (Brice was fun and gave us a lot of confidence) and with a desire to repeat the experience. Winter 2007/08 and earlier
Just a quick e-mail to say a BIG thankyou to all of you at the Aravis, for making our weekend ski trip a very enjoyable one. We all had a great time, helped along by your warm welcome and friendly and helpful staff. We will have no hesitation in recommending you. Thanks again. I just wanted to say how much Jonathan and I enjoyed our break with Karibuni.
The staff were really fabulous. The food was lovely. Nothing was too much
trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. A few of our friends have

Thanks very much for a splendid weekend. We all thoroughly enjoyed the whole
skiweekender/karibuni experience. The devil's in the detail - as my boss
always says! - and I think that is what scored so highly all through the
weekend from pickup, through to ski hire, dinner, accommodation and guiding.

Just wanted to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you for a great Christmas
snowboarding in the French Alps! We had a FANTASTIC time despite having
no luggage for our entire stay ... the little things like the matching t-shirts
and socks came a long way! A special thanks to Alex, Jess and Paul for coming
to the rescue with your own clothes. The whole chalet experience was definitely
unforgettable ... and we hope to bring our friends back! Happy days! :)

The weekend with you guys has completely restored my 'joie de vivre' and

The service in the chalet i.e. food, bar, and everything else was
was top notch and thanks for putting up with our drunken antics in

You certainly
have it licked when it comes to making guests feel welcome and comfortable.
I cannot think of anything else that you could do to make our stay
more enjoyable (free bar may be a start!!). Quite often a second visit
is never the same as the first but with Hotel Aravis the second was
equally as good.

all at Avaris lodge, many thanks for an excellent Ski Midweeker. We
had a great time. You looked after us all royally, food excellent,
accommodation fab. Ski conditions were exceptional, loads of sun,

Now
that the bruises have gone down a bit, we just wanted to thank you
and all the team for an excellent weekend. Everything was so well
organised, and everyone was so friendly - the snow-shoeing was a great
experience and our snowboarding certainly improved - we had a fantastic
time and are missing the snow terribly!
